As the current season comes to an end, several significant changes are expected at FC Barcelona, with Xavi’s dismissal being the most notable and influential.

However, the Catalan club is not the only entity in La Liga undergoing such changes; other clubs are also experiencing a period of radical transformation.

One such club is Sevilla, whose current coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, is departing despite having ensured that the team will remain in La Liga after flirting with relegation earlier in the season.

The favorite to take over at Sevilla this summer is the former Barcelona Atletic coach, Garcia Pimienta, who has already announced that he will be leaving Las Palmas at the end of this season but is yet to announce an agreement with the Andalusian club.

With Pimienta’s appointment, several changes will come at Sevilla, and one of these changes that can impact Barcelona involves one of the forwards owned by the Catalan entity, Ansu Fati. According to SPORT, with his continuity at Barcelona far from certain, Sevilla will be looking to get the winger on loan once he returns from England this summer.

This is not the first time that the La Masia graduate has been linked with Sevilla, as the Andalusian club also tried to sign him last summer, when he ultimately decided to play in the Premier League with Brighton and Hove Albion. Sevilla cannot afford to buy him permanently, so will be looking for a loan move this summer.

Despite having some good periods, Fati has not really been able to shine during his loan stint at Brighton. Another unfortunate injury ruined a good run of form for the winger, and kept him from showcasing the potential that he had shown during his early Barcelona career.

The 21-year-old winger will be returning to Catalonia this summer, and faces another few months of very high uncertainty about his future.
