The Los Angeles Galaxy benefited from a two-game sweep of the Colorado Rapids in the opening round of the MLS Cup Playoffs. Their next opponent also shared the same reward.

The sixth-seeded Minnesota United FC upset Real Salt Lake. The third seed of the Western Conference had little going for them offensively and Minnesota took advantage of that.

Outscoring the Rapids 9-1 in Games 1 & 2, they punched their ticket for the MLS Western Conference semifinals. LAFC and the Seattle Sounders play in the other semifinal matchup on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Galaxy (and Minnesota) will already know their next opponent going into Sunday. Here is a preview and where to watch the game.

Can the LA Galaxy continue their offensive dominance in the next round of the MLS Cup Playoffs?

While it may be hard to duplicate the same out of this world showing with a 5-0 romp and a 4-1 closeout win in the first round, it is certainly possible.

The Los Angeles Galaxy scored at least two goals in six of the seven games prior to the regular season finale. Riqui Puig score twice in both playoffs games against the Rapids. He also assisted on another of the Western Conference juggernaut's nine opening round goals.

That level of dominance near their opponent's net should help the LA Galaxy advance to the Western Conference Finals. Head Coach Greg Vanney and his team look to make a record tenth MLS Cup Finals and win their sixth overall title.

How to watch the game and when?

Aside from having tickets to see it live at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, there are a few options.

Sunday's game will air live on Apple TV as well as on Major League Soccer's Season Pass. The scheduled start time is 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time Zone. That's 5:00 p.m. Central and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone.

The Galaxy vs. Minnesota playoff game can also be viewed on FS1 and Fox Deportes networks, too. The winner will etch their name as the second team to enter the 2024 MLS Western Conference Finals. LAFC and Seattle have a chance to do the same thing the day before in their postseason matchup.
