LA Galaxy return to action Saturday night to take on Eastern Conference side Charlotte FC, looking to get back in the win column for the first time in four matches.

The Galaxy's impressive start to the 2024 Major League Soccer season has just about been nullified as they've gone four straight league matches without a victory. Greg Vanney's team fell 2-0 to Austin FC in late April before settling for three straight draws vs Seattle Sounders, Real Salt Lake and Minnesota United.

However, the five-time MLS Cup champions remain very much in the postseason picture, sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference table with 21 points claimed from 13 matches played this term. Vanney will more than likely stick to his 4-3-3 formation, with star players like Riqui Puig, Gabriel Pec and Joseph Paintsil leading the charge up front in their bid to return to winning ways.

Here's how the Galaxy could lineup vs Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium.

GK: John McCarthy - The former LAFC shot-stopper recorded five saves last time out and might have to do the same this weekend to give his side a chance at winning.

RB: Miki Yamane - One of the Galaxy's newest signings features from the jump after playing the full 90 Wednesday night against Minnesota.

CB: Maya Yoshida - The veteran center-back captains the Western Conference side once again alongside his fellow Japan international.

CB: Jalen Neal - As Martin Caceres played the full 90 vs Minnesota, Neal returns to the XI for his third start of the campaign.

LB: Julian Aude - John Nelson got the starting nod last time out but the talented Aude slots back into the left-back position.

CM: Edwin Cerrillo - Although Vanney might prefer Marco Delgado to start, the veteran midfielder could get a breather and instead see Cerrillo take his place in the team against Charlotte.

CM: Gaston Brugman - Brugman anchors the middle of the park and protects the backline.

CM: Riqui Puig - LA's star midfielder takes center stage and hopes to be among the goals and assists to lead his team to victory.

RW: Gabriel Pec - The Brazil international will be eager to build on his assist tallied against the Loons in the middle of the week.

ST: Dejan Joveljic - The 24-year-old starts up front and center for the Galaxy despite Miguel Berry's late heroics vs Minnesota.

LW: Joseph Paintsil - One of the most feared wingers in all of MLS looks set to wreak havoc on the Charlotte defense.
