While there is nothing official regarding Kylian Mbappe’s summer move to Real Madrid yet, the team from the Spanish capital is secretly working on the presentation of the French superstar.

Regarding the subject, a lot has already been said and a report from AS has provided a clear picture, stating that Real Madrid are currently facing a calendar problem due to the fixture schedule.

This means there is a possibility that the fans might have to wait until August to witness the unveiling of the French superstar.

What’s the issue?

It is to be noted that PSG will wrap up their Ligue 1 season on May 18. While there’s plenty of time after that for his official presentation, it’s important to remember that Real Madrid won’t finish their La Liga campaign until a week later, on May 26.

Considering Madrid’s ongoing involvement in La Liga, it is not feasible to make any moves. Furthermore, if Madrid win the league title, their final match against Betis will be a celebratory occasion for the 36th league victory, making any presentation before that date impossible.

Then there is the UEFA Champions League. Given that both PSG and Madrid are still in the running and are at different stages of the competition, it is not unreasonable to assume that one or both teams could make it to the final in London, which will be played on June 1.

Then the Euros

Looking forward to the days ahead, it is important to remember that the European Championship kicks off in Germany on June 14.

Insiders from the club have disclosed that requesting Didier Deschamps to release Mbappe from the training camp, especially on a day as packed as his presentation day, isn’t very practical. It’s understandably difficult for them to accept such a request.

Moreover, Real Madrid would need to seek permission from PSG as well, since his official contract with the Parisians doesn’t expire until June 30. It’s just too many hurdles to overcome.

This is why it is possible that we will need to wait until early August after Madrid completes their tour of the United States. This would leave only 11 days before the commencement of La Liga, set for the weekend of August 17th and 18th.

At that point, integrating Mbappe into Carlo Ancelotti’s team wouldn’t pose an issue, and the Bernabeu could greet him warmly as their newest player. One thing is for sure: whenever it happens, the Bernabeu will be bursting with excitement.
