According to Romain Molina, Kylian Mbappé (25) has been advised by his entourage not to play for France at the Olympics this summer and take ‘a real break’. Therefore, he should not represent Les Bleus in Paris.

As his transfer to Real Madrid is confirmed, it is also confirmed that he will not represent Les Bleus at the 2024 Olympic Games. Real Madrid had already written to the French Football Federation to inform them that they would not be allowing their players to represent France at their home games. With Mbappé now added to the Champions League winners’ cohort of France internationals, the Les Bleus captain should also stay in the Spanish capital to rest.

Henry ‘not shutting the door’

With one over 23-year-old spot left vacant in his France squad for the Paris Olympics, Thierry Henry has not lost hope in Mbappé participating. Speaking about his squad, the France U21 manager said, “You don’t close the door on anyone. There are no discussions.”
