A fresh insight into the financial terms of Kylian Mbappé’s impending arrival at Real Madrid has come to the fore late this evening.

The info comes courtesy of Spanish outlet Cope, and sheds light on both the signing-on fee set to be forked over to the Frenchman, and his image rights situation.

Beginning with the former, whilst Mbappé’s move to Spain’s capital will technically come in the form of a free transfer, it will certainly not come without a massive financial outlay attached.

As per Cope, a fee of €120 – €150 million will be paid to Real’s latest ‘Galactico’, as essentially a ‘thank you’ for choosing them as his next club.

This sum will be stretched over the length of Mbappé’s stay at the Santiago Bernabéu, through 2029 or potentially beyond.

Next, the latest on negotiations surrounding the image rights set to be afforded to the 25-year-old has too been revealed.

In general, Real Madrid agree to split image rights with their stars straight down the middle – 50/50.

Mbappé, however, looks set to follow in the footsteps of Blancos legend Cristiano Ronaldo, in bucking this trend.

Ronaldo, for his part, was handed an increased share of the money earned through his imaging rights, as part of his agreement with Real back in the summer of 2009.

And, as per Cope, Mbappé, too, is in line for as much, with the offer on the table currently set at 70/30 in favour of the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.
