Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was in no mood for sentiment on Saturday afternoon, during the club’s meeting with Real Sociedad.

The Frenchman made this clear upon Los Blancos being awarded a first-half penalty.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, in the final fixture of what has been an altogether disappointing campaign.

The matchup marks a special one for club icon Luka Modrić, taking to the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu for the very last time.

Upon the referee pointing to the spot, indicating a penalty for the day’s hosts late in the first-half, the Real Madrid supporters in attendance were therefore quick to belt out collective chants of Modrić’s name.

This came in the hopes of the Croatian taking responsibility from 12 yards.

Kylian Mbappé, however, had other ideas.

Amid his ongoing pursuit of the European Golden Boot, the summer arrival in Spain’s capital quickly took the ball for himself, before slotting home on the rebound after seeing his initial effort kept out.
