Kylian Mbappé issues clever response to Aurélien Tchouaméni ‘leaking’ his Real Madrid move | OneFootball

France and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé today issued a well thought out response to suggestions that international teammate and Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni let slip that his move to the Santiago Bernabéu is a done deal.

For those who may have missed it, this past weekend, comments on the part of midfielder Tchouaméni turned heads across France and Spain alike.

Speaking in an interview with Téléfoot, in quotes gathered by Mundo Deportivo, the 24-year-old appeared to essentially confirm that Mbappé is primed to join him in La Liga this summer.

As much came after he pointed towards those in Spain being in line to see his compatriot ‘every day’ in the near future:

“The Spanish already know who Kylian Mbappé is. However, when they start seeing him every day, whether training or in matches, they will realize his greatness as a footballer.”

Faced by the media during a press conference on Monday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his compatriot’s slip was put to Mbappé himself.

And, to his credit, the explosive frontman went on to issue a superb response, in the process sparing Tchouaméni’s blushes:

“Tchouaméni said Spaniards will see me more often? Well yes, I played Real Sociedad (in the Champions League Round-of-16), we (PSG) play Barcelona in the quarter-finals, and if we go through, maybe Atlético in the semis. So yes, Spaniards will see me a bit more!”
