Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract with PSG runs through 2026, but extension talks have stalled. The Parisians are reportedly ready to move on and are closing in on LOSC Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. Moreover, the capital club doesn’t want a repeat of a past mistake.

Manchester United are weighing their goalkeeping options, and Donnarumma is said to be on their shortlist. According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, his representatives are exploring opportunities elsewhere, with Manchester City, Galatasaray, and several Saudi Arabian clubs also showing interest.

For now, Donnarumma isn’t pushing for a move and is expected to stay unless a strong offer comes in. If he remains, he will likely compete with Chevalier for the No. 1 role, with Luis Enrique making the final decision.

PSG doesn’t want Donnarumma’s situation to turn into another Kylian Mbappé saga, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t AS). With his contract renewal stalled, the club reportedly chose Chevalier as its starting goalkeeper.

At the same time, Donnarumma and his camp are said to be seeking a move that guarantees regular playing time ahead of the World Cup. PSG are said to be open to letting him go, but prefer a sale since he’s in the final year of his contract.

Mbappé’s case reportedly set a tough precedent, and PSG are said to be firm in their negotiations. A loan might be possible, but the club are reportedly pushing for a permanent transfer.

That won’t be easy given Donnarumma’s salary and the high cost of a keeper from the reigning European champions. For now, Manchester United are reported to be the most likely destination.

Recently, journalist Ben Jacobs reported that PSG want £26 million for Donnarumma, with one year left on his contract, after deciding not to offer him a new deal.
