Kylian Mbappé (25) has been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad to face Villarreal on Saturday night in La Liga despite being excluded from Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the upcoming international break.
Les Bleus are set to face Israel and Belgium in UEFA Nations League action during the upcoming international break but will be without their captain for the two matches. Mbappé has been excluded from the squad due to a hamstring injury, L’Équipe reports. The Real Madrid forward was expected to be absent for the international break but made a surprise return to the Spanish capital club’s squad to face Lille in the Champions League.
Despite being included in their Champions League squad, the former PSG attacker was still excluded from the France squad. The 26-year-old has been included in the Los Blancos squad for a second time since the injury as the Champions League winners prepare to face Villarreal.
