According to L’Équipe, LFP have summoned Kylian Mbappé (25) and Paris Saint-Germain to begin legal proceedings over a dispute in which the France captain claims he is owed money by the Ligue 1 champions. The respective parties will meet in front of the LFP legal committee on the 11th of September.

Mbappé claims that he is owed €55 million from Les Parisiens. The 25-year-old believes that the French capital club did not pay him this sum in bonuses and salary arrears during his last season at the club. Following his move to Real Madrid, the attacker is now set to face his former club in a legal battle.

Goals at last

The former PSG forward’s start to life in the Spanish capital will not have gone as he would liked. Despite scoring a goal and winning the UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid have started the La Liga season slowly. Mbappé failed to score in his first two league matches in a Los Blancos jersey as the Champions League winners failed to win their first two matches. However, at the third attempt, the former Monaco attacker scored two goals in a comprehensive victory against Real Betis.
