Speaking to Sky Sport ahead of his side’s crucial match against Milan this weekend, Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski reflected on a difficult first year with the Bianconeri. The Swedish international pointed out that he was aware of the difficulties he would face on making the move to Turin, acknowledging his markedly less productive year but nevertheless insisting that he had no regrets over his output in the campaign.

The 21-year-old arrived in Piedmont this summer after an impressive season at Parma, scoring 10 goals and registering 8 assists as the Emilians finished 11th, but has largely struggled this season to replicate those performances after his big-money move to Juventus.

“I knew that arriving in Turin it wouldn’t be easy, but that’s how it should be. If it was all sunshine and rainbows, it wouldn’t have been fun.”

“I’ve changed my position and style of play, but the basics remain the same – interacting with my teammates, playing near the attackers and always being at the heart of the action. I’ve made less assists and scored less goals compared to last year, but that’s normal. In some games I’ve played better, in others I’ve played worse. I couldn’t have done any better than that, though. I have no regrets.”

“[Andrea] Pirlo seems very calm to me, as he always is – he’s a very calm person. We’ve worked very well this week, having had more time [to prepare].”

Pirlo’s men host the Rossoneri on Sunday night in what will undoubtedly be a crucial match in the top 4 race, with both sides sitting on 69 points in third and fourth respectively with only three games to go after this weekend.
