Mohammed Kudus has promised to entertain the Tottenham Hotspur fans after completing his £55m move to the club from West Ham.
Kudus has crossed the capital to sign for Spurs as new head coach Thomas Frank begins to shape his squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Ghana international scored 19 times in 80 appearances for West Ham during two seasons with the club and has established a reputation as one of the Premier League’s best dribblers. No player in the division has completed more take-ons across the last two seasons.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Kudus has promised entertainment for his new side’s supporters.
“It feels great to be here, I’m very happy and can’t wait to start,” he said. “I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game.
“I like to entertain the fans as well. That’s what football is about – it’s putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home, and after the money they’ve spent to buy a ticket.
“Although there is also a lot of seriousness and competitiveness in the game, I still think it’s a sport I try to enjoy as much as I can and give the fans something to enjoy too. I hope fans are going to really enjoy what I’m going to bring to the team here.”
Spurs are hoping to seal their second major signing in 24 hours on Friday, after agreeing a deal to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White. The North Londoners have activated the £60m release clause in the player’s contract.
