Kostas Tsimikas has said Liverpool must 'celebrate hard' after beating Chelsea on penalties to win this season's FA Cup.

The Greece international scored the decisive spot kick to hand the Reds their first FA Cup since 2006.

When asked by BBC Sport what was going through his head when he stepped up to take the decisive spot kick, Tsimikas said: "I think the hard work, we gave absolutely everything.

"Big congratulations to the boys who played the most [of the game]. We have to celebrate hard, but tomorrow is the next day and we still have a lot to do. We have the games in the Premier League and we have the big [Champions League] final."

He added: "It's very, very special for me. The manager asked me which number I wanted [to take] and I said number seven. He said 'why so far?' and I said 'I want number seven'.

"It gave me the opportunity to win the game. I chose the right side and I scored. I'm very, very happy for that.

The Reds have now beaten the Blues via a shootout in both of England's major domestic cup competitions this season and are still in with a shout of winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Tsimikas went on to stress that Liverpool's season isn't over yet and they still have two trophies left to win in order to complete a historic quadruple.

"We wanted it too much. Our goals from the start of the season... we have two more goals to achieve, and hopefully everybody will be happy," he said.

"We have to celebrate now but we have in our minds a big final and the two upcoming games. We have to be 100% focused if we want to achieve our goals."
