The Irish Independent is reporting that Kortrijk have submitted a bid of €200k for Bohemians top scorer Jonathan Afolabi. The former Southampton and Celtic striker finished as the joint top-scorer in the Irish Premier Division, which saw him receive a call up to the senior Ireland squad. The 23-year-old finished with 15 goals in 34 games, as well as five assists.

Afolabi began his career in the Southampton youth academy, however he never made a senior appearance for the Hampshire based side before moving to Scotland to join Celtic in 2019. Much of his time with the Glasgow giants was spent on loan at the likes of Dunfermline Athletic, Dundee FC, Ayr United and Airdrieonians. In the summer of 2022 he left Scotland to join Bohemians, where he has scored 21 goals in 42 games.

Bohemians are looking to earn at least €300k for their star forward, having already rejected a bid of €200k from League One relegation strugglers Carlisle United. Kortrijk are also struggling this season, sitting bottom of the Pro League with just nine points from their opening 15 games.
