Unlikely scorer downs Foxes

Scorers: Konsa 17′, 54′; Barnes 14′

Aston Villa made it three wins from four under Steven Gerrard after beating Leicester at Villa Park.

Leicester opened the scoring after just 14 minutes when Harvey Barnes cut inside and curled casually into the far corner.

But Villa equalised just minutes later through Ezri Konsa, who was on hand to deflect Emi Buendía’s header past Kasper Schmeichel.

After Jacob Ramsey had a goal harshly ruled out by VAR before half time, Konsa put Villa ahead after the break with a towering header – his second of the game.

Rangnick takes the reigns

Scorers: Fred 77′

Manchester United earned their first three points under Ralf Ragnick with a hard-fought victory over Crystal Palace.

United took the initiative early on and were clear in their pressing efforts, going close twice through Cristiano Ronaldo and Fred.

But having weathered the first half storm, Palace grew into the game and could have gone ahead when Cheikhou Kouyaté saw his header blocked.

The hosts finally made their breakthrough when Fred was found by Mason Greenwood before curling beautifully into the top corner.

Spurs breeze past Canaries

Scorers: Lucas 10′, Sánchez 67′, Son 77′

Tottenham made it back-to-back wins under Antonio Conte after cruising past Norwich on Sunday.

Spurs broke the deadlock after just ten minutes when Lucas Moura with a brilliant strike into the top corner from 20 yards.

The hosts continued to press and almost doubled their lead through Harry Kane, before Davinson Sánchez eventually netted their second after rifling home from close range.

Son Heung-min secured all three points with another clinical finish after cutting inside on his right foot.

Late drama at Elland Road

Scorers: Roberts 27′, Bamford 90+5′; Baptiste 54′, Canos 61′

Leeds struck late in injury time to deny Brentford an impressive away win at Elland Road.

After an evenly-matched start, Tyler Roberts broke the deadlock for Leeds after sliding in to convert Raphinha’s teasing cross.

But Brentford equalised after the break when Shandon Baptiste finished past Ilan Meslier beautifully on the half-volley from range.

And the visitors completed their stunning second half turnaround when Sergi Canos found the net after being played through by Bryan Mbeumo.

However, there was time for a late twist, as Patrick Bamford scored on his return to the side to rescue a point for Leeds.
