Aston Villa welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 36th minute when Moussa Diaby found the back of the net. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Ezri Konsa finally killed the game off in the 65th minute as Aston Villa cruised to an impressive 2-0 win in front of their home supporters.

The Spaniard did his fair share of defending and was replaced after the hour mark.

Bailey was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him.

He made two decent chances up top and was strong in the air.

The Brazilian talent made two decent runs with the ball. Luiz offered solid protection for his teammates at the back.

He completed a handful of dangerous dribbles in the opponent’s half.

ST: Moussa Diaby – 8/10

Diaby scored the opening goal in the 36th minute and picked up an assist for setting up Konsa’s goal.

Watkins was quiet in the first half and was replaced at half-time.
