Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman says they'll be appealing his suspension.

Koeman was banned for two games after being sent off against Granada for saying “what a character" to the fourth official.

On Saturday Barcelona had not contested the dismissal but the coach says the club will.

“We will appeal because it's very exaggerated," said Koeman. “If for saying 'what a character' they can give you two games, for insulting they can give you 20."

Barcelona will have to present their appeal ahead of the clash at Mestalla which, at present, Koeman is banned for.

Alfred Schreuder, his assistance, will be Koeman's voice on the sideline if he misses the game.
