Ronald Koeman has given a statement and not answered any questions at his latest Barcelona press conference.

The under pressure boss said:

“The economic situation of the club is linked to the sporting situation, so we have to rebuild the squad without investment. That takes time.

“The good thing about rebuilding is young players will have opportunities, like Xavi and Iniesta in their day. It takes patience.

“Finishing high in the league would be a success. In the Champions League you cannot expect miracles. The defeat to Bayern has to be viewed from that perspective.

“The process deserves to be supported. In words and in deeds. I know that the press recognises this process, which is not the first in the history of the club. We count on your support in these difficult times.

“We are very happy with the support of the fans against Granada.”

Barcelona visit Cádiz on Thursday.
