As per NOS Sport and De Avondetappe, Ronald Koeman has no intention of returning to management in club football.

Asked if he will return, the 62-year-old Dutch national team boss said: “It’s not final, but the chance that I will manage a club again is very small.”

It seems one of the reasons is the positivity he experiences with the Oranje set-up. “Everyone comes in with a smile. Everyone is happy to see each other again and to be able to speak Dutch with each other again.”

That’s different as a club manager, Koeman stated. “You also have to deal with more disappointed players. You don’t really want to put your energy into that, because you want to focus on the football side.”

Following near-legend status as a player, Koeman began his coaching career in 2000 at Vitesse, after which he progressed through the ranks of Ajax, Benfica, PSV, Valencia, AZ, Feyenoord, Southampton, Everton, and Barcelona. He was the Dutch national team manager between 2018 and 2020, returning to the role in 2023. Koeman’s contract with the KNVB runs until the 2026 World Cup.
