KNVB Cup draw throws up Ajax v PSV battle

Ajax have been pitted against PSV Eindhoven in the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup.

The Amsterdam side will have home advantage after the draw was made on Saturday night.

Erik ten Hag’s men have overcome Utrecht and AZ to reach the last eight, while PSV have accounted for De Graafschap and Volendam.

The two sides met in the league earlier this month and played out a 2-2 draw at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The other quarter-final ties see Heerenveen face Feyenoord, Excelsior host Vitesse, and NEC Nijmegen take on VVV-Venlo.

The fixtures will be played over the weekend of 9/10/11 February.

In the meantime, leaders Ajax have Eredivisie matters to attend to on Sunday when they travel to Fortuna Sittard.
