Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Mo Salah clashed on the sideline as the club’s Premier League title hopes were effectively ended on Saturday.

The Reds played out a 2-2 draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium, leaving them third in the table and two points off leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand. Man City sit second in the standings, one point better off with two fewer games played.

Klopp made a late triple change in a bid to get a winner in the game, bringing on Salah, Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez.

They Egyptian could be seen arguing with the manager as he prepared to come onto the pitch, with the pair exchanging words in a heated conversation.

Asked if he could divulge what was said between the two men, Klopp told TNT Sports: “No, but we spoke about it already in the dressing room. That’s done.”

Liverpool are not mathematically out of the title race, but it would take a remarkable set of results for the Merseyside outfit to finish on top at the end of the season.

“I’m not in the mood to talk about that to be honest or look at that at all,” Klopp admitted.

“We had to win here, we knew that, and we didn’t, and now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We try to get the boys ready again and we will go again.”

Liverpool are in Premier League action against next Sunday when they face Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield for a 2pm kickoff. They play Aston Villa away and Wolves at home in their final two games of the season.
