Klopp reacts as new injury concern hits Liverpool | OneFootball

Jurgen Klopp has discussed Naby Keita’s injury issue with the midfielder coming off during the second half of Liverpool’s Premier League fixture with Leicester City on Sunday evening.

Keita returned to the starting line-up against the Foxes but went down at the Kop end early on in the second-half and hobbled off.

The Reds were 2-0 to the good at the time and went on to win the game 3-0 in what was a commanding performance and so, in many ways, this was the only real blot on the night as the reigning champions went joint top of the league.

Naturally, Jurgen Klopp was asked about the midfielder’s injury after the game and he had this to say – revealing it’s a hamstring problem but little else is known at this early stage:

Perhaps it was too much to ask for the Reds to get through a game without another injury issue, particularly for a player in Keita that has suffered so regularly with fitness problems.

The no.8 was having a good game in the engine room up to the substitution and we’ll now have to see how long he is potentially out for as this hectic period gets underway.
