Liverpool travel to Leeds on Monday night needing a win to keep up their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Jürgen Klopp has been speaking to the press ahead of the game and this is the best of what he had to say.
“It’s good.
“Things have to develop, players have to get used to each other.
“There was never a question about quality. Ozan and Nat have done really well.
“Hopefully it will stay like this.
“Nat probably has the best heading statistics in the history of the Premier League.
“Ozan is a 20- ear-old boy, big prospect, was not lucky with the teams he played in the last two seasons, one went down and now probably will go down.
“But nobody really doubted his quality. We were convinced, and he really proved that point.”
“Big step, he looks fine when he’s running, no real reaction in the knee.
“It still takes time but he’s in a good way, like Virgil, Joël, Hendo.”
“No new concerns. Usually I always have someone, but no new ones!”
“Their character is exceptional.
“A lot of teams don’t have counter-attacks against Man City with 11 men, never mind 10 men!
“With the passion they showed they deserved the win. That is really nice.
“Leeds at the moment is probably the most ‘different’ game in the league.
“Leeds is really special. We have to be ready.
“The team is still not the most experienced team in the world.
“Against City they defended really well. It was exceptional.
“Leeds is a really good side managed by one of the best. It’s a good combination.”
“There are two things, performances and results.
“The last few games, we played one bad game, which we lost [Madrid].
“Then you have to use your quality. The situation – just go for it, go and go and go. Play your best football.
“In a game, you have to cause the other team more problems than they cause you.
“That is the situation we are in.
“Yes, we are under pressure – we want to finish in the top four. We have seven games to provide that point, and that is what we try.”
