Jurgen Klopp is focused on Liverpool despite speculation linking him with becoming Germany’s next head coach.

Klopp had been named as a potential candidate to take charge of the national team following their disappointing group stage exit at the World Cup in Qatar, though Die Mannschaft have decided to stick with Hansi Flick.

It is the second straight World Cup that Germany have exited at the group stage, having previously not been eliminated at the first stage since 1938.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Klopp had no interest in the position at this time and always  has been ‘100% focused on Liverpool’, with the German in discussions with the club’s board over new signings.

Top of his list of priorities is Jude Bellingham, as the Reds look to beat off competition from Europe’s top clubs for the England international. The 19-year-old has shone during England’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals and is understood to also be a summer target for Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Borussia Dortmund are expecting significant interest in the teenager, who is valued in excess of £100m at the Westfalenstadion and has no release clause in his contract.

Klopp will also make decisions on the futures of several Liverpool players out of contract next summer, as he looks to rebuild his squad following a mixed start to the season.

Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are among the senior names whose contracts expire at the end of the season.
