Simon Kjær picked up a muscular injury yesterday and it remains to be seen how many games he’ll be forced to miss.

Milan head into the Juventus match last night with already six players on the list of injuries, in addition to those who are not fit enough to play and have not been called-up, like Junior Messias.

Alessandro Plizzari has a knee problem, Davide Calabria has a muscular issue, Rade Krunić has a muscular problem in his calf, Tiémoué Bakayoko has an injury in his soleus muscle, Olivier Giroud has back pain and Zlatan Ibrahimović has an inflammation in his Achilles tendon.

Yesterday, Simon Kjær joined the list of injured men. The Dane played from the start against Juventus, alongside Alessio Romagnoli, with Fikayo Tomori starting as a right back due to Calabria’s absence. However, the 32-year-old only lasted 36 minutes in the game before going out injured.

As reported by Milannews.it and others, Simon suffered a right thigh flexor muscle injury. Kjær will need to undergo some tests to see how much time he’ll miss, but it’s clear that muscular injuries usually take a while to heal so it’s possible that Kjær would only return after the next break.

It’s only Matchday 5 but the injury problems of Milan are already piling up. It’s a very similar situation to what happened last year and it appears that the coaching staff has not made any adjustments.
