Arsenal have left defender Jakub Kiwior out of the squad for their Premier League opener, suggesting a move to Serie A for Milan, Juventus, Atalanta or Inter could be imminent.
The Poland international was nowhere to be seen in the group for today’s Week 1 fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Enquiries were made and transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano confirms there is no injury, he has simply been dropped as a technical decision.
That means Kiwior is likely to be on the transfer market and he has absolutely no shortage of clubs eager to get him back to Italy.
The 24-year-old first shot to fame at Spezia in Serie A, until the €19.5m sale to Arsenal in January 2023.
Able to play as a left-back or in central defence, with 26 senior caps for Poland under his belt, he is a versatile figure for any team.
However, last season he slipped down the pecking order 30 competitive appearances, contributing one goal and three assists, and is even less essential with the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
Clubs including Milan, Inter, Juventus and Atalanta have all shown interest in Kiwior, and this move from Arsenal implies he could be available on loan.
