Speaking first at France’s daily press conference this afternoon, wide man Kingsley Coman notably spoke about the defeat to Tunisia for yesterday’s final group stage match, which he started in, before moving on to the last 16 clash against Poland on Sunday night.

Like Randal Kolo Muani after him, the Bayern Munich man recognised that it had not been Les Bleus’ best performance but that it was a “childhood dream” to be starting at a World Cup.

Regarding Antoine Griezmann’s disallowed late equaliser, the forward explained that the players are concentrated on the next game but that if the FFF moved to file a complaint, then it was necessary – “We would like to understand so that we know how to react if the situation happens again.”

He went on to insist that France’s last major knockout tie, the loss to Switzerland in 2021, was not in the back of his mind at all, but that it did give the team experience – concluding that the team needed to be as efficient as possible and give their all.
