Kingsley Coman leaves France Euro 2024 squad | OneFootball

Kingsley Coman (28) has left the France squad in the wake of Les Bleus’ qualification for the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, the FFF have confirmed.

So far in Euro 2024, Coman has played a peripheral role for Les Bleus, making just one brief substitute appearance in the competition, against the Netherlands. The Bayern Munich winger has been struggling with fitness after suffering an injury towards the end of the season, from which he only just recovered in time. As a result, even in light of Ousmane Dembélé’s poor form, Coman has not had his chance; against Belgium in the Round of 16, Didier Deschamps opted against fielding a conventional right-winger at all.

Following France’s narrow 1-0 victory over Belgium on Monday, the FFF revealed that Coman was leaving the camp to travel to Sweden to be with his Swedish wife for the birth of their fourth child. A return date has not been given for the winger, whose participation in the quarter-final against Portugal on Friday is now in doubt.
