‘King Midas’ returns to the scene after passing through Querétaro.
After a wildly successful career in Mexican top-flight football, which has spanned over three decades and 11 teams, Victor Manuel Vucetich will now take charge of Chivas for the first time.
He’s best known for taking good teams with limited resources and turning them into great teams.
Since being in charge of Mexico’s national team, Vucetich has been limited to two separate stints at Querétaro.
Sergio Almaguer and Milton Graniolatti, who were his assistants at Querétaro, will also join Vucetich’s team.
Vucetich has tasted plenty of success over the years, enjoying five Liga MX titles, three Copa MX titles, three CONCACAF Champions League crowns, and one Interliga title.
The 65-year-old has also been named the best manager in Mexico on four separate occasions.
