Ipswich Town are preparing for life back in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.
After winning back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League, Ipswich returned to the top flight for the first time in 22 years last season, but the step up proved to be a little too much for them, and they were relegated with a disappointing total of just 22 points.
It has been a relatively quiet start to the summer for the Tractor Boys, but it now appears the transfer window is starting to hot up at Portman Road, and the Suffolk outfit have brought in three signings so far in goalkeeper David Button, defender Cedric Kipre and midfielder Azor Matusiwa respectively.
Ipswich have also lost one of their key players this summer, with star striker Liam Delap departing for Chelsea for a fee of £30 million, and there could be further exits over the coming months, including goalkeeper Aro Muric and defender Elkan Baggott.
Muric joined the Tractor Boys from Burnley last summer in a deal worth £15 million, but he lost his place in December after making a string of costly errors, and Alex Palmer went on to establish himself between the sticks after his January move from West Bromwich Albion.
Baggott spent last season on loan with League One side Blackpool, but after making just 20 appearances during an injury-hit spell at Bloomfield Road, it remains to be seen whether he has done enough to force his way into McKenna's plans at his parent club.
When asked which players he would like to see leave the club on loan this summer, FLW's Ipswich Town fan pundit, Adam Wilkin, urged McKenna to give the green light for Muric and Baggott to depart temporarily.
"There's not too many youth players coming through who you would say need to go out on loan," Adam told FLW.
"Cameron Humphreys had a successful loan spell last year and Elkan Baggott did okay, I think, in his loan spell at Blackpool.
"They are potentially both going to get loaned out again, but Baggott is more likely than Humphreys.
"Given how light the midfield is at the moment, Humphreys might see some more game time this season, which I'm not against as I think he's got very high potential.
"The other one is Aro Muric. I still think there is a good goalkeeper in there.
"I don't think that goalkeeper is going to be seen at Ipswich Town given the errors he made last year, which were too costly and lost him his place.
"I don't know how high his stock is right now, but if he goes out on loan this season, especially to a foreign league, he could be really successful, and his value would be higher when he comes back.
"I don't think his stock would be high enough to be redeemed in the eyes of Ipswich fans, but we might be able to get a better fee if he goes out on loan."
Given his struggles in the Premier League with Burnley, Ipswich were always taking a big risk by signing Muric, and it was a gamble that certainly backfired as he made a host of high-profile mistakes in the first half of the season.
McKenna has a solid number one for the Championship at his disposal in Palmer and a reliable back-up in Christian Walton, so the Tractor Boys are well-stocked in the goalkeeping department, and they can afford to send Muric out on loan or cash in on him if they receive an offer that meets their valuation.
Baggott is a highly-rated defender, but he has made just seven appearances for Ipswich since coming through their academy, and after his frustrating spell at Blackpool last season, another year in League One playing regular football could be hugely beneficial for the talented 22-year-old.
