Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has joined an exclusive group of players to have won two league titles in the same season.

The Georgian winger joined Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli in the January transfer window, with both clubs ending the campaign as champions. Kvaratskhelia played a key part in both successes, securing Ligue 1 and Serie A winner’s medals for 2024/25.

He scored five times and provided three assists for Napoli over the first half of the season, as Antonio Conte led the side to the top of the division.

Despite his mid-season sale, Napoli held off Inter Milan in the title race to claim the Scudetto. It’s the second time in three seasons that Napoli have won Serie A, following a 33-year drought between their 1990 and 2023 successes.

Kvaratskhelia made an instant impact in Paris. The 24-year-old was directly involved in seven Ligue 1 goals in just 11 starts as PSG claimed a record-extending 13th title. Kvaratskhelia has also played a big part in the club’s run to the Champions League final.

He’s one of just a select few players to win two titles in one season. Among the others include David Beckham, who won the MLS with LA Galaxy and Ligue 1 with PSG in 2012/13, having joined the latter on loan.

Kingsley Coman’s vast collection of league titles includes two secured in 2015/16, following a mid-season move from Juventus to Bayern Munich. That same season, Daniel Amartey won both the Danish Superliga and Premier League, after moving to England to join shock champions Leicester City in the January window.

Meanwhile, Joao Cancelo claimed Premier League and Bundesliga titles in 2022/23. The Portuguese right-back left Manchester City for Bayern Munich on loan mid-season.
