Remember the name, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Not many had when the 21-year-old arrived at Napoli from Dinamo Batumi for a reported €10m in the summer, but more and more know the name now (even if they may find it hard to spell or say).

The Georgian winger is taking the Champions League by storm and is the jewel in the crown of an exuberant and exciting-looking Napoli team under Luciano Spalletti.

Kvaratskhelia set up Giacomo Raspadori’s goal in the clash with Ajax tonight before getting on the scoresheet with a second-half penalty.

He produced the same return, a goal and an assist, in the 6-1 win over the Eredivisie champions in Amsterdam last week.

It’s not seven goals and seven assists in all competitions for Kvaratskhelia, a player who is providing numbers as well as the tricks and flicks. They call Kvaradona in Naples, and you can see why.

Not since Georgi Kinkladze has Georgia produced such a diamond of a footballer.
