Russian Premier League outfit Khimki GM Sergey Anokhin has revealed they're talks with City Football Group.
Anokhin admits Khimki are keen to join the Manchester City world-wide network.
He told Sport-Express: "Yes, I am negotiating with them (and there are points of contact), but it's rather difficult. That is, the Russian market for Red Bull and Manchester City is not very interesting, we have few high-level players playing in major championships.
"They look closely through big binoculars. They are not interested in us yet. We have a closed market and no league capitalisation. What should be interesting for City Group? Build your own oil rig? You won't find players here either.
"When players and infrastructure appear, then they will pay attention to us. We have a big country, there must be players and talents. You just have to look for them. These clubs have strategic development and a political component that also has it's place."
