Key Stat Shows That Neymar and Mbappe Were Among the Top Performers in the Champions League This Season | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League run came to a screeching end following the semifinal tie loss to Manchester City. PSG had aimed for a treble-winning campaign along with a second consecutive appearance in the Champions League final, but these aspirations are now over with.

One could look back at PSG’s Champions League run in awe of the performances from both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Neymar carried PSG in the group stage portion of the competition while Mbappe led the way in the knockout stage with six goals scored.

Overall, both players currently rank in the top five in goal involvements over this season’s Champions League competition. Mbappe finished with 10 goal contributions while Neymar logged eight with six goals scored and two assists.

Mbappe and Neymar now look ahead to helping PSG finish the campaign with triumph in the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France competitions. PSG looks to clinch yet another double-winning season.
