Eder Militao has had a difficult couple of seasons, having suffered back-to-back ACL injuries in 2023 and 2024, that have kept him out on the sidelines for extended period.
The Brazilian ruptured his ACL in November last year, during the game against CA Osasuna. Having undergone surgery, he was ruled out for the remainder of the season given the severity of the injury.
But things have been progressing well with his rehabilitation, and now MARCA reports that Militao is in the final stretch of his recovery.
Indeed, the 27-year-old is getting closer to returning to action for Real Madrid, having been working relentlessly on his recovery. In fact, all signs now point to him being available for Los Blancos’ debut in the FIFA Club World Cup on 18 June.
The coaching staff are closely monitoring his progress and are determined not to take unnecessary risks.

However, Militao’s recovery has been so positive that his return for the final stretch of the season is no longer a distant hope, it is becoming a realistic objective.
Barring any setbacks in the coming weeks, Real Madrid believe he will be ready to bolster the squad for a tournament they consider prestigious and highly important.
Beyond the physical recovery, Militao has remained emotionally invested in the group. In recent weeks, he has been ever-present around the team, offering support during key matches, celebrating victories, and sharing in the lows as if he were on the pitch.
The centre-back’s continued presence has been a quiet but powerful boost inside the dressing room, reinforcing his role as a vital part of the squad.
Carlo Ancelotti and his staff regard the 27-year-old as a key figure in the defensive structure. His return would inject much-needed quality and experience into the side.
While the club will not rush him back under any circumstances, if all goes according to plan, his presence in the United States will be considered a major asset – almost like a new marquee signing ahead of the Club World Cup.
