With only a few days left till the start of the month of January, FC Barcelona still do not have the required margin in their wage bill to be able to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga.
The two players were the only additions to the Blaugrana squad in the last summer transfer window, but the Catalans were able to register them with La Liga only because of the injuries suffered by Andreas Christensen.
Now with Andreas Christensen getting nearer to returning from his injury, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the ability of Dani Olmo to continue playing in the Barcelona shirt for the second half of the season.
However, according to SPORT, the midfielder is completely calm about his situation and trusts the Catalan club to keep its guarantee and find a way for him to be registered with the league authorities.
In this regard, Barcelona have already undertaken some legal action, and a ruling is expected on Friday on whether they can get provisional permission to retain Olmo’s registration till this matter between the Blaugranes and La Liga is resolved in a court of law.
Thus, they will get to know on Friday whether they can get some more time to generate the required funds or if they need to take immediate action to raise the €60 million that will allow them to reach the 1:1 status and undertake their market operations normally.
In the second scenario, one of Barcelona’s options will be to sell a VIP seating package to a Qatari company, that will generate around €120 million. The Catalans are reluctant to consume this opportunity at this moment as they believe their income from this source can rise up to €200 million in the future.
But as uncertainty surrounds his immediate future, Dani Olmo is quite calm and has full trust in Barcelona to find a way for him to be registered with La Liga.
