Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp (32) is aware of interest from Manchester United as the Premier League club look to sign a replacement for Dean Henderson and competition for David de Gea.
“Manchester is a big club but I haven’t looked at it yet,” said Trapp at the Sport Bild award in Hamburg on Monday evening.
SGE head coach Oliver Glasner added: “I’m not the decision maker, Kevin and the club have to decide that in the end. From a sporting point of view, I would of course like to keep such a great goalkeeper and person. He’s a great role model and always one of the first in training.”
Manchester United have already submitted an opening offer for Trapp, who has two-years remaining on his current deal and is a top earner at Eintracht Frankfurt. It’s also suggested that MUFC have presented the Germany international with a four-year contract.
Per Kicker, a transfer to Manchester United would be a lucrative move for Trapp but whether SGE let their No. 1 goalkeeper leave with nine days of the transfer window remaining is a different matter.
