Kevin Strootman: “I think Marseille are happy I’ve left.”

Speaking during his unveiling as a Genoa player, 30-year-old Dutch international midfielder Kevin Strootman discussed the manner of his departure from Marseille on a loan until the end of the current campaign.

“They are happy that I left, I think. The president said to me that I could leave, or should leave. For the moment, it is a loan. It could be permanent, but I do not know… We will see after the season.”
