Kevin De Bruyne confirmed himself Manchester City’s king of the Champions League after levelling in style during their semi-final first leg with Real Madrid.

The Belgian playmaker drew Pep Guardiola’s side level in the 67th minute at the Santiago Bernabéu with a well-drilled finish to beat Thibaut Courtois.

In doing so, De Bruyne extended his record in the Champions League’s knockout stage to a record-setting 11 goals for the Citizens.

He also became the first opposing player to find a way past Madrid’s resolute backline in 413 minutes of action in Europe’s elite club competition.

How priceless could De Bruyne’s leveller prove in City’s quest to reach the final?
