Kevin De Bruyne clocks up century of City assists | OneFootball

Kevin De Bruyne has reached another significant milestone in his Manchester City career after providing his 100th assist for the Club in all competitions.

The Belgian midfielder hit his century in City’s game against Crystal Palace, providing a brilliant cross with outside of his right foot for John Stones to nod in the game's opener.

It is his 76th assist in the Premier League, which sees him enter the competition’s all-time top 10 in joint tenth position alongside Teddy Sheringham.

De Bruyne has proven himself be one of Europe’s most prolific creators during a superb five and a half years at the Etihad Stadium.

He is a two-time winner (2018 and 2020) of the Premier League’s Playmaker of the Season award and has achieved numerous assist records in England’s top division.

Last season, he set-up 20 goals to equal Thierry Henry’s 17-year record for the most assists in a single Premier League campaign, whilst he also reached 50 quicker than anyone else in the competition and was the first player to provide 15 or more assists in three different seasons.

Having been crowned Premier League Player of the Season and PFA Player of the Year for 2019/20, De Bruyne ended 2020 with the most assists in the league across the calendar year.

The 29-year-old has continued his fine form into the current campaign, laying on 15 goals for his team-mates in all competitions and scoring three times himself.
