Turkish international Kenan Karaman is on his way to Schalke to complete his medical before signing a three-year deal with the club, according to Fabrizio Ramano.
The 28-year-old has only been with the Turkish club since 2021 but looks set to make a return back to German football with the recently-promoted side.
Before making the move to Turkey, Karaman had previously played for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Hannover 96, and Hoffenheim.
Schalke will be hoping that the forward adds something new to their attacking play. who are currently winless after the first four Bundesliga matches.
In these four matches, Schalke are averaging just one goal a game and have let in 11.
If they’re to survive their first season back in the first division, the royal blues will need to carry more of a goal threat with the likes of Karaman, Simon Terodde, and Rodrigo Zalazar whilst being more resilient at the back.
Karaman’s last stint in the Bundesliga was with Düsseldorf when he scored six goals in 22 appearances.
