Kemar Roofe’s injury-plagued Rangers career shows no signs of stopping, with the striker now ruled out for the rest of the season.

The former Leeds man has struggled consistently to stay fully fit since making the move to Ibrox and has made just six appearances across all competitions in the current campaign.

And that number will remain, with Rangers boss Michael Beale confirming that he will play no further part in 2022/23.

“Kemar has had a minor hip operation so he’ll be back for pre-season, the same as Tom Lawrence who had a minor operation and will be back in the summer,” he said ahead of this weekend’s clash with Raith Rovers.

However, the former QPR manager did have better news on the injury front defensively.

“We have one or two bumps but nothing major for this weekend,” he added. “Ridvan Yilmaz, John Souttar and Leon King are all available for selection.”
