Emre Demir has discussed his imminent move to Barcelona.
The Turkish teen spoke in local media along with president of Kayserispor, Berna Gozbasi, about his move.
“I had indescribable feelings," said Demir. “My father dreamed of this too. We were together day and night for a year. When the transfer was happening he got emotional and cried."
Barcelona have signed the 17 year old with a €400m release fee on his contract. For now he is staying in Turkey on loan until the end of the season, although there is the chance Barca could bring the move forward in January.
“My agent Ahmet Bulut did not tell me what was going on. He called on day and said: 'We're going to Istanbul, you're going to sign for a big team.' As I wasn't old enough to sign a contract, my father and mother game too. Then I saw the name Barcelona on the contract! Mum and dad could not contain their tears.
“My father left his job in Mersin and came to Kayseri for me. He had a new job with the opportunities the club brought him. He supported me a lot in my development."
