The goalkeeper has extended his deal at Eintracht Frankfurt until 30 June 2030.
Kaua Santos moved to Eintracht Frankfurt from Rio de Janeiro in August 2023 and immediately joined the goalkeepers training under coach Jan Zimmermann. In his first season at the club the Brazilian made 13 appearances for the U21 team in the Regionalliga South-West, Germany’s fourth tier.
Santos, who has two caps for Brazil’s U20 team, made his senior debut for Eintracht in the current campaign. The 21-year-old came off the bench for the second half of the Eagles’ Matchday 3 trip to VfL Wolfsburg as a replacement for the injured Kevin Trapp, and has been in goal for the team’s five subsequent matches in all competitions. His contract, which was initially due to expire on 30 June 2028, has now been extended by two years until 2030.
Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Kaua has developed well over the past few months and we believe in his potential. We want to work with him in the long term and are pleased that we’ve been able to extend his contract until 2030.”
Kaua Santos: “I’m very happy to be here and to have extended my contract. I’ll keep working hard and I want to achieve great things with Eintracht.”
