“As an entrepreneur and a former player, Katharina Kiel has all the right qualifications needed to drive the development of our women’s team in the position of technical director,” said board member for sport Markus Krösche. “On top of that, she has a history with Frankfurt and has a strong bond with the city and the surrounding area. We are all very much looking forward to working with her.”

“I can’t wait to start my new job as technical director at Eintracht Frankfurt,” said Kiel. “There are a number of topics, from infrastructure to squad management, that I will tackle together with Niko, the board and all the staff. When I played for 1. FFC Frankfurt the city was the benchmark for women’s football, both in Germany and in Europe. That’s where we want to get back to as a club.”
