Karleigh Osborne has been appointed as Brentford's newest club ambassador.

From the 2025/26 season, Osborne will take on the role and continue his lifelong association with the club and its community.

At the end of last season, Osborne stepped down as head coach of Brentford Women following a league championship and promotion-winning campaign.

As ambassador, he will continue to represent the club on matchdays as well as at community events and educational workshops for academy players, working closely with global club ambassador Marcus Gayle on engagements with the club and Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.

Born in Southall, Osborne graduated from the club’s academy in 2005 and enjoyed a 175-game career with the Bees, which included a League Two title in the 2008/09 season.

As head coach of Brentford Women and technical director for the women’s football programme, he oversaw the team for eight years before stepping down from the role in May.

Osborne led the team to promotion in the 2024/25 season, as well as two cup trophies and an historic appearance in the FA Cup third round proper for the first time.

On being made a club ambassador, Osborne said: “Brentford has given me so much to be proud of in my life. I started my dream of being a professional footballer here. I won trophies as a player and a coach. It's where I met my wife Amanda and started a family. Taking on the ambassador role felt like the right thing to do to continue giving back to the club.

“I’m excited to do more work with our fans and community and be a bigger part of the matchday experience. There’s also going to be opportunities to help our young players' development, and I’m looking forward to helping the next generation mature as people and learn resilience.”

Fellow club ambassador and former player Gayle added: “I’ve known Karleigh since he was 16 and taking his first steps into professional football. I’ve seen him develop on the pitch as a player, as a head coach, and as a person. He reflects our community and our values and as an ambassador, he’ll continue to be a great asset to the club.”
