Karim Benzema has won the Ballon dâOr for 2022.
The 34-year-old Real Madrid striker wins the award for the first time in his career, beating Sadio Mané and Kevin De Bruyne, who finished second and third respectively.
Benzema played a pivotal role as Los Blancos won the Champions League and the LaLiga title this year, contributing 38 goal involvements for the club in 2022.
Meanwhile, the Ballon dâOr FĂ©minin went to Alexia Putellas, who becomes the first woman to win the award in two successive years after captaining Barcelona to a domestic treble last season.
Barcelona midfielder Gavi claimed the Kopa Trophy for the best player under 21, while Real Madridâs Thibaut Courtois won the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper.
Elsewhere, Barcelonaâs Robert Lewandowski won the Gerd MĂŒller Award for best striker of the year, and Bayern Munichâs Sadio ManĂ© won the inaugural SĂłcrates Prize for his community work in his native Senegal.
Manchester City won the Club of the Year award for having the most Ballon dâOr nominees this year with six.
