Kane warns Tottenham about slow starts: We must fix this quickly

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has warned his teammates they must stop their slow starts to matches.

Spurs grabbed a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday thanks to a brace from Kane.

But the visitors were outplayed for large portions of the match, and Kane wants his teammates to lift their game.

"We dropped deep in the first half which we've done a lot already this season and it's taken us until the second half to get a bit of a wake-up call and be a bit more aggressive," Kane said.

"We become better on the ball because of it. We got away with it in the first half being 1-0 up but it could easily have been a different story.

"It's something we need to fix and quickly because we have a lot of games coming up in a short space of time so we can't afford not to start the first half well."
