Dimitrije Kamenovic still hasn’t managed to break into the Lazio first team but he’s not planning on giving up just yet.
The 22-year-old Serbian defender joined the Biancocelesti squad last summer, completing a €3m move from Cukaricki. Maurizio Sarri was not impressed with Kamenovic and left him entirely frozen out of the squad for the first half of the campaign. Even when he was integrated, the defender only made one 44-minute long appearance.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Sarri has never seemed convinced by Kamenovic but he’s still a part of the Lazio environment, possibly due to the fact that he shares the same agent as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Mateja Kezman.
Given the situation, the 22-year-old could have lost hope and motivation, but despite being on the sidelines of the project in Rome he’s keen to continue working hard to earn a spot in Sarri’s squad.
Kamenovic is contracted to Lazio until 2026, so he’ll certainly have enough time to prove his quality in the Italian capital.
